Artstyle Overhaul Update

We've taken a fresh approach to our art style, moving away from realism in favor of a more refined low-poly aesthetic. This shift means a complete visual overhaul, covering:

  • Buildings
  • Characters
  • Landscape
  • GUI

To streamline the process, we’ve divided the workload: Justus is sculpting characters in Blender, while Emil is modeling buildings using Unreal Engine’s powerful new modeling tools.

Today, we’re excited to share our progress on the Forager’s Hut rework! This is an early draft, showcasing the raw 3D geometry. It’s not the final version—additional details will be added soon to bring it to life with more vibrancy and character.

Below, you’ll find an animated video illustrating the 11 distinct construction phases of the Forager’s Hut. These stages will be reflected in-game, allowing players to witness the building's evolution as it takes shape.

For this building, we envisioned a tall yet compact structure, allowing for ample storage of collected berries and fruits while remaining small enough to be placed conveniently near berry patches.

In the final construction phase, the facade features intricate details, but we may simplify these elements for the building’s first level, making it feel more grounded and in line with its humble purpose. Additionally, we’re considering a roof adjustment to better reflect the building’s early-stage appearance.
